The Ness Hotel, Shaldon, Devon
This year, we decided to expand the numbers on our workshop and relocate to the beautiful Ness Hotel in Shaldon for a whole weekend of Mystery Blanket Techniques For All. We were sat in the Conservatory for the whole weekend workshop and enjoyed the stunning views of the sea while we knitted.
We started at 10am each day and everyone who was a Mystery Blanket member, worked on their squares while we knitted and chatted. Debbie was on hand to answer questions about the techniques used for the blanket squares and even held some master classes.
On Saturday evening we all met up again and enjoyed dinner together. We chatted about our blankets, what we had learnt during the day and got to know each other better. We enjoyed beautiful sunny weather all weekend and after our buffet lunch on Sunday, Debbie treated us to ice-creams. Some ice creams were as colourful as the blankets! We walked down through Ness tunnel to the cove; a long stretch of sheltered beach. Some of us were even brave enough to paddle in the sea!
Next year for 2011 we have decided to run another two Mystery Blanket Weekends at the Ness Hotel: 9th-10th of April and 8th-9th October 2011. If you would like to register your interest in attending one or both of these workshops, please email: enquiries@lanapura.com
